Fabled Raid 3/19/2009 (submitted by Darlgon at 01:30am EST)

Rockin raid last night. We actually did 5 hours of Fableds in Doomfire. Down went:

The Fabled Jaxoliz Dawneyes
The Fabled Criare Sunmane
The Fabled Pyronis (A Frog in Plane of Fire? was Bristlebane here?)
The Fabled Magmaton (This one was the toughest, had to let him go, camp a rezzer and redo to get him, but get him we did.)
The Fabled Arch Mage Yozanni
and ending the night with
The Fabled General Reparm

Grtz to all the winners, as each Fabled dropped 3 fabled items.

Another TSS event bites the dust... (submitted by Dance at 12:28pm EST)

Well, maybe not quite as catchy of a song title, but we were excited!

STITCH DOWN 2/21/09!!!

We began the night with a Nurtha kill to finish up Sarjan's flags for Stitch, then it was on to Ashengate.

We made quick work of Stitch's Ambush, with more precision than the guild had seen to date on that event, and then made ready for Stitch. In the end, we did not beat him, but, and I quote Laeaddor:

"...we dealt him such a whopping I'm not sure if he's going to respawn".

So congratulations to RotD on another fine progression kill, and grats to the loot winners!

Vergalid's End... damn right! (submitted by Pyrocanaster at 12:08am EST)

A good night of raiding! Started the night off with Porthios, ripped the aug right from his hand, thank you very much. Will see you next week!

After porthios we revisted Avalanche, I know several people still had not seen the event or had a win on it so we hit it too to get the blood flowing for the main event. Went on without a hitch no deaths that I can remember... (no dikji wasn't there)

Main event!

Sarjan started us off in Vergalid's mine Thursday night with a wicked kill on Nurtha Frazzlesprocket. We didn't make it any further Thursday but we returned to the mines Saturday night to test the canarries! Canarries were fine... but

Goru Uldrock DEAD!! First attempt Saturday. The pallies were drooling when they saw the undead comming in 5-10 per wave. They had their fun and slaughtered away Goru didn't stand much of a chance!

Vergalid it's self, DEAD!!!

It took us three attempts, first attempt was going very very well till about the 50% mark. Then all hell broke loose, a train found it's way to us and walked us over. Second attempt was just uggly, capital U uglly. That didn't detour the dragons though, third attempt almost flawless. Everyone was on their toes, except Griff he was on his back for the last 20% or so.. Danyell took over tanking and did an outstanding job finishing him off. The healers were outstanding as well, shifting heal targets without missing a beat.

Grats RotD well deserved!

OMM Down for the count. (submitted by Darlgon at 03:44pm EST)

Go Dragons. Last night, we walked into CoA, beat up on the lieutenants and named mobs in zone, and marched up to the Overlords room. Along the way, our raid force grew, even picking up some old/almost inactive players like Shirodan and Feigndeath. Arch Magus Vangl fell and dropped the curtain on the boss. Our mostly MIA monk hailed him, and we were off. With his charmed Coerced Lieutenants beating on him, and Frenzied Lashers chewing on everyone, it was a bit chaotic, but we knocked him down to 24 percent before he banished the raid to Ture’s room. We rezed the dead, rebuffed all and went back for more. On this night, Overlord Mata Muram fell to the Dragon forces on the first attempt. Gratz to everyone who participated in finishing off one of our Tier 16 mobs.

Saturday, December 13, 2008 (submitted by Darlgon at 09:41am EST)

Tonight, we started out planning on doing in the Traitor, but never quite got the force for him. So, instead, the Dragon forces ate Porthios, as our normal appetizer. We dropped in on to Avalanche, but unfortunately timed out on the event before he fell. Then, the Dragon forces went exploring.

We went thru Undershore, Stoneroot Falls, the Hive and Dreadspire Keep to the instanced zone, Dreadspire Keep: Demi-Plane of Blood. There, we slaughtered mob after mob, trying to spawn the dreaded Zi-Thuuli of the Granite Claw. Some of us were charmed into beating on their fellows, while others just couldn't figure out how to escape the zone when needed. We spawned him once, and he owned us. (He even ate our lone necro survivor.) We rezed up, killed the zone again until he spawned. Smack, he took us down again, even making some of us gargoyle corpses. Re-rez, rebuff and we persisted. We started killing again. THIS time, when he spawned , the Dragon forces beat on him til he fled into the shadows, as he is wont to do. Three more times, we killed mobs until he respawned, then we got our revenge. The giant gargoyle died and spat up his steel chest. Gratz to Leaedor, Remerian, Karasina and Naydari on thier new gear as we called it a night.

Vergalid's End Raid November 13 (submitted by sarjan at 05:28am EST)

Thanks everyone for coming out on a Thursday night to have a go at robot lady, aka Nurtha Frazzlesprocket (I always think Fraggle-Rocket when I type that). Getting 27 people in the raid was an awesome effort, when even some Saturdays we're not able to get that many.

We made a great dent in all of her robots, defeating the giant gnome at great cost to... most of the raid actually, then wiping to the spider once before learning the knack and peeling off all eight of its legs twice in succession. Special mention must be made of Dikji who resisted the almost irrestible urge to backstab so he could disarm the 'old chest' time after time.

Only the rat remains as a challenge, then she will be ours...mwahahahaha! This was attempt number 2. We've had two goes at Udengar the Traitor too... the race is on!

Sorry about the lack of loot tonight, but it is often the way when learning new events. And this one is a tricky one. Even with 5 more levels, no-one expected us to be able to walk up and knock it over without a few speedbumps. We are soo close though - can't wait until next time!

And congratulations to Vlaeelya, raid planner winner! Don't forget to sign up as soon as you know whether you can make the raids. You can sign up as coming, or as not coming, and still be eligible!

Frostcrypt Plow November 4 (submitted by Darlgon at 12:38am EST)

Spent tonight plowing thru FrostCrypt, trying to get drops for raising faction with Wraithgard Leadership. Gratz to Gwath, Vlae, Kara and Sierev on getting 3 Marks of Zek each for turn in.

They can be used in either this quest:

http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/ques ... quest=3936
(Although it may require higher faction, and thus may have to be done later, I'm think this is the quest for which you will more want to be prepared. ~Gwath)

or

http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/ques ... quest=3940

Either way, was more exciting than the election.

Make sure you are ready for when Pyro begins getting Frostcrypt raids.

Grats to Lenani for winning the Raid Planner Prize!

October 25, 2008 (submitted by Darlgon at 09:50am EST)

If you were there Saturday night.. we had a really good night.

Porthios died as an appetizer.

Avalanche finally fell to the Dragon forces.. stupid chunk of ice was very tough. (And we did it with one chanter and no bards.. good job guys. :) )

We tried and beat two new foes. Chief Urgak and his band of merry men (OK, kobolds, but who is counting?) went to their deaths on our second attempt, revenging our first attempt. Mistwalker in Sunderrock did indeed walk into the mists, at least for that moment, to be joined soon after by his pal Fiddleback, sticking spider.

We had a good night all around, plus awarded some phat lootz: http://rotd.eqdkp.info/f/viewraid.php?s=&r=219

See everyone on Tuesday, Thursday or next Saturday, as soon as you can come join us.

Revenge (submitted by Pyrocanaster at 03:55pm EST)

I felt that revenge pretty much summed up how many of us felt last night when we uprooted the plant that made our last weekend so disgustingly bitter.

Porthios was farmed as normal we tried to go after Avalance after him but for some reason he has been locked out the past two weeks. I want us to squish him...

We decided to skip Mega-Plant and try out the very troubled Mad Mary-Anne. That was an intersting fight but as per the norm with RotD she died after a long fight. With a little more confidence we mustered up the nerve to clean out the garden and take out the plant. That damn plant would be better classified as a weed and a resistant one at that. We won, yeah us! Maestro was another first attempt target for us, he sang his last note as RotD laid him out. Overall it was a great night for RotD taking out several new targets and regaining some of the teamwork that is needed to continue progression! Gratz everyone!

Porthio the Second Born
